Pennsylvania health system opens outpatient center

Allentown, Pa.-based Lehigh Valley Health Network opened an outpatient center in Lehighton, Pa., to offer imaging, laboratory and radiology services in the community, tnonline.com reports.

What you should know:

1. LVHN Imaging and Breast Health Services opened in early June.

2. The health system built the 3,600-square-foot clinic in a former shoe store.

3. Clinicians will perform radiology, ultrasound, 3D-screening mammography and lab services through LVHN Health Network Labs.

4. LVHN is in the process of opening a new hospital in Lehighton, about a mile from the outpatient clinic. The system expects to open the facility in late 2021.
