New ASC Development

A public hearing was held for Quincy (Ill.) Medical Group's $19.5 million ASC proposal Jan. 24, with officials from QMG and nearby Pittsfield, Ill.-based Blessing Health System debating the proposal at length, the Herald-Whig reports.

Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt University Medical Center's planned development in Murfreesboro, Tenn., is expected to cost $51.5 million, WGNS News Radio reports.

Fort Collins, Colo.-based Centers for Gastroenterology Physicians will break ground on the Greeley (Colo.) Endoscopy Center Feb. 15, BizWest reports.

Doctors United Surgery Center opened a facility in Pasadena, Texas, according to the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce.

The North Carolina Department of Health denied Chapel Hill, N.C.-based UNC Health Care, Durham, N.C.-based Duke University Health System and Raleigh, N.C.-based WakeMed's ASC development applications, the Triangle Business Journal reports.

Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital and Camden-Clark Physician Corp., both based in Parkersburg, W.Va., filed a certificate of need to develop an ambulatory facility.

Princeton (W.Va.) Community Hospital Association plans to develop an ASC.
