Benefactor’s $6M donation gives new name to Mount Sinai surgery center

New York City-based Mount Sinai received a $6 million donation from Derfner Foundation trustee Jay Lieberman and will name its new plastic and reconstructive surgery suite after him.

The suite will be called The Derfner-Lieberman Family Center for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Mount Sinai.

Located on the eighth floor of Mount Sinai Faculty Practice Associates, the suite has nine private exam rooms and is equipped with telemedicine technology for remote consultations.
