Wichita, Kan.-based Plastic Surgery Center got approval for a $2.1 million expansion and renovation, The Wichita Eagle reported June 1.

South Lake Tahoe, Calif.-based Barton Health recently purchased the former location of a casino in Stateline, Nev., as part of its plan to expand medical care, which includes additional outpatient care services in the region.

Iredell Health System is opening a medical facility with a surgery clinic in Mooresville, N.C., to accommodate the need for outpatient surgery, the Mooresville Tribune reported May 29.

Phoenix Children's Hospital is investing $135 million for a new hospital with an outpatient surgery center, Fox10 Phoenix reported May 26. 

SurgCenter Development recently opened the 6,800-square-foot Crown Point Surgical Suites in Crown Point, Ind., according to a May 27 press release.

Brooklyn Park, Minn., is developing into a medical hub with an ASC and orthopedic center both breaking ground there in the last week.

Becker's ASC Review has reported on 26 joint-venture ASCs opened in 2021 so far.

Sacramento, Calif.-based UC Davis is planning to open a $75 million surgery center, according to the university.
