Barton Health purchased the property for $13.3 million. The former Lakeside Inn and Casino shut down in April 2020 after the mandated COVID-19 lockdown, according to Northern Nevada Business Weekly. The building is next to Barton Health’s Stateline Medical Center, which already offers outpatient surgery and includes an outpatient lab. The health system is looking to expand its outpatient services due to the lessened regulatory environment in the state.

Demolition and restoration of the site will begin this year.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
