New ASC Development

Here are nine ASC updates in Pennsylvania that Becker's ASC Review has reported on in 2021:

Florida gastroenterology provider Borland Groover is building an endoscopy ASC in St. Augustine, Fla. 

Becker's ASC Review reported on eight joint-venture ASCs opened or announced recently.

Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente has announced two facilities with ASCs in the first quarter and named an ophthalmologist as medical director of one of its facilities. 

From North Dakota to North Carolina, here are four ASCs approved in 2021 by local or state governments: 

Bozeman (Mont.) Health Cottonwood Clinic and Surgery Center, a $20 million project, opened April 19, NBC affiliate KHQ reports.

Surprise, Ariz.-based Regency Specialties has opened a multispecialty ASC.  

University of Virginia Health in Charlottesville finalized an agreement to acquire an ASC, according to an April 16 release. 

Pittsburgh-based UPMC has sold a surgery center building on the grounds of the former UPMC Memorial Hospital in Spring Garden Township, Pa., for $2.4 million, Penn Live reported April 18. 

Durango, Colo.-based Animas Surgical Hospital plans to open a two-operating room ASC.
