New ASC Development

University of California Davis Health has broken ground on its 267,000-square-foot Sacramento-based ASC, the 48X Complex. 

Here are four ASC moves in Texas since Oct. 18:

Bon Secours has broken ground on the new 98,000-square-foot Harbour View Hospital in Suffolk, Va., that will include 18 medical-surgical beds, four operating rooms and an ASC expansion, according to an Oct. 25 report from local news outlet 13NewsNow. 

The Veterans Affairs Ann Arbor (Mich.) Healthcare System is opening an outpatient clinic in Howell, Mich., Livingston Daily reported Oct. 25.

Skagit (Wash.) Regional Health completed structural work on its new ASC in Mount Vernon, the Skagit Valley Herald reported Oct. 21.

Cleveland-based Apex Dermatology and Skin Surgery Center opened a new office in Ashtabula, Ohio, the Star Beacon reported Oct. 22.

Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente is considering converting a San Jose hospital into an ASC, SiliconValley.com reported Oct. 21.

Two new independent ASCs are being constructed in Ohio in October: 

Livonia-based Trinity Health Michigan and U-M Health in Ann Arbor, Mich., are forming a joint venture to bring pediatric care to Trinity Health Oakland hospital in Pontiac, Michigan Medicine Headlines reported Oct. 21.

Kelsey-Seybold has broken ground on a 135,000-square-foot expansion of their Fort Bend Medical and Diagnostic Center in Sugar Land, Texas, which will add an ASC and a cancer center to the practice, according to an Oct. 20 report from Community…
