U.S. Orthopaedic Partners and Mid State Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center began construction on an ASC in Alexandria, La.

The ASC will expand access to orthopedic procedures, improve surgical efficiency and offer patients an alternative to hospital-based care, according to an April 8 news release from USOP.

The center includes eight operating suites, robotic-assisted technology, C-arm imaging and an in-house MRI suite.

The facility is expected to create about 30 new jobs and open in August 2026, the release said.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 18–20 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
