Orthopedic ASC opens in North Carolina

Construction on an orthopedic ASC in Granite Falls, N.C., has wrapped up. The development was handled by Flagship Healthcare properties for Prime Surgical Suites, an affiliate of Caldwell UNC Healthcare.

The ASC was opened Sept. 4, and has physicians on staff who specialize in performing orthopedic, spine and sports medicine procedures. The ASC has one procedure room and three operating rooms, with the capacity to add another.

“We are excited to be the first orthopedic ambulatory surgery center in the region and to be able to provide needed services to our community to live healthy lifestyles,” said Teresa Burwell, BSN, RN, director of Prime Surgical Suites.
