Duluth, Minn.-based Essentia Health is spending $800 million through its new Vision Northland project, which will transform its downtown presence, Hometown Focus reports.

1. Approximately $675 million will go into new construction, while $125 million will be for renovations.

2. Essentia is planning to build an entirely new hospital, a clinical building and an outpatient surgery center.
