Here are four ASCs opening in former department stores:
1. Camden, N.J.-based Cooper University Health Care has unveiled a $150 million ambulatory care center with an ASC in a former Sears department store in Moorestown, N.J.
2. An ASC opened by the University of Rochester Medicine Center for Orthopaedics and Physical Performance Surgery Center in Henrietta, N.Y., replaced a vacant Sears store in The Marketplace Mall.
3. New York City-based NYU Langone Health plans to build 700,000 square feet of ASCs in former Sears, Burlington and Lord & Taylor stores.
4. A former Sears store in Ontario, Ohio, is being converted into a medical office building with a pain management facility.
