Here are 16 new ASC developments reported by Becker’s since Oct. 1, 2025:
1. Lawrenceville, Ga.-based Summit Spine & Joint Centers opened an ASC and clinic in Warner Robbins, Ga.
2. Denver-based NexCore group partnered with Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health to launch an ASC in Folsom, Calif. The facility is expected to be completed in 2027.
3. The University of Maryland in Baltimore announced plans to develop the first AI-powered “smart” ASC. The planned 36,000-square-foot facility is being developed in partnership with Axis Research & Technologies. A location for the ASC has not yet been announced.
4. Woodbury, Minn.-based Summit Orthopedics opened an orthopedic-focused surgery center in Plymouth, Minn.
5. Iredell Physician Network, a part of Statesville, N.C.-based Iredell Health System, opened Iredell General Surgery, an ASC.
6. Thomasville, Ga.-based Archbold started construction of the Archbold Multispecialty & Surgery Center.
7. Northside Hospital Cherokee in Canton, Ga., broke ground on a new medical office building and outpatient surgery center.
8. Gillette, Wyo.-based ASCend Specialists, an ASC management company, is welcoming two new Midwestern ASCs into its network. Eastside Surgery Center is slated to open in late 2026 as a standalone ambulatory surgery center in Spearfish, S.D. ASCend also announced another key partnership Oct. 13 when Lander, Wyo.-based Western Wyoming Outpatient Surgery joined its network.
9. An ASC owned by six physicians will soon open in Springfield, Ark. Lakeside Surgery Center will span 9,000-square-feet and offer ophthalmology and otolaryngology.
10. The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley opened a surgery and cancer center in McAllen, Texas. The UT Health RGV Cancer and Surgery Center includes orthopedics and sports medicine treatment, outpatient surgery, diagnostic imaging and clinical research and training.
11. Parkview Health and Orthopaedics NorthEast opened an orthopedic ASC in Warsaw, Ind.The ASC is part of a three-building medical campus that also has Parkview Physicians Group and ONE clinics.
12. Spokane, Wash.-based Eye Consultants PS opened a new clinic and plans to launch an ASC in Spokane Valley to expand access to cataract and vision care.
13. Mass General Brigham and Regent Surgical submitted an application to build a standalone ASC in Cambridge, Mass.
14. Oakleaf Surgical Hospital completed construction of a surgery center in Altoona, Wis. River Prairie Surgery Center is at the site of a former HSHS hospitals and Prevea Clinic location.
15. San Francisco-based Dignity Health broke ground on an advanced ambulatory care center in Folsom Ranch, Calif.
16. The University of Miami Health System opened UHealth SoLé Mia, a seven-story, 363,000-square-foot ambulatory center.
