Dr. Mueller succeeded Tim Johnson, MD, as vice president. Dr. Johnson is returning to patient care after serving in his role for eight years.
Dr. Mueller joined Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic in 1995 and served as chair of the division of general internal medicine for nine years.
Dr. Mueller completed his internship, residency and chief residency in internal medicine at Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Hospital. He received his medical degree and master of public health from Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins University.
