4 things to know about Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health’s new chief clinical officer

Penn Medicine Lancaster (Pa.) General Health appointed Michael R. Ripchinski, MD, as its new chief clinical officer, Lancaster Online reported.

 Here are four details to know about Dr. Ripchinski:

1. Dr. Ripchinski joined Lancaster General in 2003 and helped implements its EHR system.

2. In his new role, Dr. Ripchinski will assume leadership of the medical and dental staff, and will be responsible for quality, safety and analytics across the health system.

3. He is replacing Lee M. Duke, MD, who decided to step down and return to clinical practice at Pulmonary Associates of Lancaster (Pa.).

4. Lancaster General Health is a 631-licensed bed not-for-profit health system.
