Dr. Sutaria, named COO of Tenet earlier this year, will continue to be responsible for the company’s hospital operations, including employed physicians, hospital-affiliated outpatient centers and acute care hospitals.
He also will be directly responsible for Conifer Health Solutions and United Surgical Partners International, and will report to Tenet CEO and executive chairman Ron Rittenmeyer.
Before joining Tenet in 2019, Dr. Sutaria worked for McKinsey & Company, leading the company’s private equity and healthcare practices.
“Since joining the company as COO, Saum has demonstrated superb business judgment and greatly contributed to the improvements in our financial results over the last few quarters,” Mr. Rittenmeyer said. “Equally important, Saum is passionate about growing our leaders of tomorrow and fostering a culture of the highest integrity and accountability.”
