Miami-based CareCloud appointed Greg Shorten the company’s new chief revenue officer.

1. In his new role, Mr. Shorten will oversee CareCloud’s technology platform expansion.

2. The platform features cloud-based software and services for the ambulatory healthcare setting, integrating clinical, financial and administrative management data and workflows.

3. Equipped with more than 25 years of experience in sales management, team building and partner development, Mr. Shorten previously served as senior vice president of sales for the professional division of Chicago-based Allscripts.

4. Independent medical groups are showing increased interest in CareCloud’s technology.

5. Mr. Shorten and his team will focus on the company’s offerings for telemedicine and population health management.
