Wuhan gastroenterologist dies from coronavirus

A 29-year-old gastroenterologist practicing in Wuhan, China has died from coronavirus, according to the New York Times.

Dr. Xia Sisi was practicing at the Union Jiangbei Hospital of Wuhan when she contracted the disease, according to The Straits Times. She was transferred to the Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University Feb. 7 after her condition worsened.

Dr. Sisi died Feb. 23, and is among two other physicians who died in the last week fighting the outbreak.
