Cologuard, developed by Exact Sciences, will be covered under laboratory benefits, covered by Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin. Primary care physicians will be able to prescribe the test.
“Making Cologuard available will hopefully encourage patients to get regular screenings and, in turn, improve survival results for this preventable cancer,” said Group Health Cooperative CEO Kevin Hayden.
