U.S. News Announces Top 10 Children’s Hospitals for Gastroenterology

U.S. News & World Report has released its rankings of the top children’s hospitals for gastroenterology.

Hospitals were ranked based on three areas: reputation, outcomes and care-related indicators, including infection-control programs, surgical volume and nurse-to-patient ratio.

The 2010-2011 best children’s hospitals for gastroenterology are:

1.    Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center
2.    Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia
3.    Children’s Hospital of Boston
4.    Texas Children’s Hospital (Houston)
5.    Children’s Hospital, Denver
6.    Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC
7.    Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA (Los Angeles)
8.    Nationwide Children’s Hospital (Columbus, Ohio)
9.    Childrens Hospital Los Angeles
10.  Children’s Memorial Hospital (Chicago)
