Dr. O’Connor has over 20 years of experience in colorectal surgery and colorectal health. Her clinical interests include the increase in colon cancer rates among young adults, colon cancer screening and minimally invasive surgery.

Dr. O’Connor is a recipient of the Florence Griffith Freedman Award for Cancer Research from Temple University in Philadelphia, and is a member of the Society of Black Academic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons and Women in Surgery, among others.
