Approximately 252 first-year fellows completed the survey, and another 66 fellows completed a follow-up survey at the end of their second year of training to assess how their attitudes changed. According to the result, 78 percent of men and 59 percent of women were interested in studying advanced endoscopy as they began their fellowships. The follow-up survey shows interest in study ERCP and EUS decline significantly among women. Men, however, sustained a relatively high interest in both ERCP and EUS.
