Sherman Prize nomination window extended

The Bruce and Cynthia Sherman Charitable Foundation extended the nomination period for its annual Sherman Prize until July 17.

What you should know:

1. The nomination window was expanded because of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

2. The Sherman Prize recognizes individuals who have worked to improve outcomes for patients living with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. 

3. The foundation awards two $100,000 prizes to inflammatory bowel disease clinicians, surgeons, researchers and academics in the field annually. It also awards a $25,000 prize to an emerging leader in the field.
