Seeking inflatable organ donors — Colon Cancer Coalition raising funds for replacement colon

The Colon Cancer Coalition is raising funds for a replacement giant, inflatable colon after its colon was stolen from a truck at Kansas City-based University of Kansas Cancer Center, The Kansas City Star reports.

Here’s what you should know:

1. The story of the colon theft went viral, Get Your Rear in Gear – Kansas City Local Events Coordinator Stacie Moody told the Star.

2. The CCC is disappointed its inflatable colon was stolen, but said the theft spawned several conversations about colon cancer.

3. “It’s the silver lining,” Ms. Moody said to the Star. “A lot of people are talking about it.”
