Lewes, Del.-based Seaside Gastroenterology Consultants will add Heather Barton, MD, to its staff, effective in July, Cape Gazette reports.

Here’s what you should know.

1. Dr. Barton earned her medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk. She completed a residency at Charleston-based The Medical University of South Carolina and is in the midst of completing a fellowship there as well.

2. She’ll be working out of the practice’s endoscopy center.

3. Outside of her practice, Dr. Barton loves the beach, running and her dog, Harper.
