SAGES honors Dr. Steven Rothenberg with Pioneer in Surgical Endoscopy award

The Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons has honored pediatric surgeon Steven Rothenberg, MD, with its SAGES Pioneer in Surgical Endoscopy award.

Dr. Rothenberg is the chair of surgery at Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children in Denver. He performed the first thoracoscopic repair of a trachea-esophageal atresia in a neonate, the first thoracoscopic lobectomy in a pediatric patient and the fist duodenal atresia repair in an infant in the United States.
