Here’s what you should know.
1. The expansion costs $17 million and should be complete in 2019.
2. The expansion will add 15,000-square-feet of space to the medical center, while doubling the number of operating rooms and endoscopy suites as well as increasing emergency room bed capacity. The project will also include building new lab department space and remodeling 24,000 square feet of the existing facility.
3. Hospital CEO Chris Howe said, “It’s clear that Plateau is growing and evolving. It’s not only evident by the groundbreaking you’re witnessing today, but we’re also growing in our number of providers, our number of services and our number of locations. Not only are we building for the future, but we’re expanding for the future and we’re excited about that.”
