Physicians Use Endoscopic Myotomy to Successfully Treat Achalasia Cardia

 
Physicians at Gem Hospital and Research Centre in India have successfully treated six patients with achalasia cardia, according to a Manorama Online report.

The physicians are using a procedure called per oral endoscopic myotomy, an alternative to laproscopic surgery. POEM is currently in a trial stage in Mumbia and Coimbatore, Indai.
