Here are four things to know:

1. The single use device includes safety features such as the CleverCut coating on the proximal end of the cutting wire and optimal knife orientation.

2. It also features a refined 3.9 Fr tapered tip.

3. It is available in several configurations including with the VisiGlide guidewire preloaded or with VisiGlide sold separately.

4. “CleverCut3V DW with VisiGlide is the only short-wire sphincterotome with the coating’s presence over the proximal end of the cutting wire,” said Vijay Jayaraman, MD, assistant professor at University of Nevada, School of Medicine in Las Vegas. “This has been particularly helpful in protecting the duodenum in case of overhanging folds.”
