NYP/Lawrence Hospital joins “80% by 2018” initiative

NewYork-Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville, N.Y., joined the nationwide “80% by 2018” program, according to a report by The Journal News.

The goal of the program, co-founded by the American Cancer Society and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is to eliminate colorectal cancer as a major public health problem. It aims to reach an 80 percent colorectal screening rate of adults aged 50 and older by 2018.
