Neptune, N.J.-based Hackensack Meridian Jersey Shore University Medical Center has launched a gastroenterology program focused on advanced diagnostic and surgical care for complex digestive diseases.
Led by Lee Peng, MD, the program offers minimally invasive and endoscopic treatments for conditions affecting the liver, pancreas and gastrointestinal tract, according to an Oct. 9 system news release.
The team also uses gastric electrical stimulation, known as Enterra Therapy, to treat gastroparesis, a disorder that slows or stops stomach movement.
The new program broadens access to specialized gastrointestinal care in the region.
At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
