Mylan launched a generic version of Takeda's Prevacid to boost its gastroenterology portfolio, R&D reports.
Here's what you should know:
1. The generic drug comes in 15 milligram and 30 milligram tablets.
2. The FDA approved Mylan's abbreviated new drug application, which had the same indications as Takeda's Prevacid.
3. The drug treats active stomach and small intestine ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
