Santa Clara, Calif.-based Microfabrica partnered with Mentor, Ohio-based US Endoscopy to produce the “world’s first” submillimeter biopsy forceps.

2. The forceps are primarily used in pancreatic cancer treatments.

3. Microfabrica can produce complex 3-D structures similar to 3-D printing. However, Microfabrica’s structures facilitate high precision surgery.
