1. Dr. Vega previously was chief of gastroenterology at Denver-based National Jewish Health, before he joined MCG April 15.
2. He specializes in treating gastroesophageal reflux disease.
3. Dr. Vega earned his medical degree from New York City-based Weill Cornell Medicine. He completed a residency at Boston City Hospital and his fellowship at Philadelphia-based Temple University.
4. He is a past president of the Arkansas Oklahoma Endoscopy Society.
