Lumendi releases minimally invasive endoscopic tools in US — 4 insights

Here’s what you should know:

1. The DiLumen Ig is a flexible endoscopic tool which allows physicians to grasp and manipulate tissue within the digestive tract under direct endoscopic visualization.

2. Lumendi submitted a premarket notification to the FDA for the DiLumen C2 and DiLumen Is.

3. DiLumen C2 is the newest iteration of the Endolumenal Interventional Platform, an accessory that allows for complete positioning of an endoscope in the large intestine. It also assists providers with visualization, diagnosis and endoscopic treatments.

4. Lumendi CEO Peter Johann, MD, said in a release, “The DiLumen family of devices facilitates endoscopic treatment of colonic lesions, such as polyps, a common condition that affects millions worldwide, and may replace open surgical or laparoscopic procedures, potentially reducing healthcare costs.”
