Dr. Fleisher’s clinical interests include endoscopy, esophageal cancer, GI bleeding, capsule endoscopy and endoscopic therapy for Barrett’s esophagus. He also has an active interest in research and his work has been published in a number of prestigious journals, such as Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Dysphagia and Annals of Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Fleisher’s research work includes the examination of esophageal peristaltic defects in adults with functional dysphagia and self-dilation as a treatment for resistant, benign esophageal strictures.
Dr. Fleisher earned his medical degree at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tenn. He completed his internal medicine residency at Cleveland Metropolitan General Hospital/Western Reserve School of Medicine in Cleveland. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship at Harbor General Hospital/University of California, Los Angeles in Torrance, Calif.
