GI physician leader to know: Dr. Steven Shields of Atrius Health

Steven Shields, MD, joined Atrius Health in 2000 and sees patients in Wellesley Hills and Kenmore, both in Massachusetts. Specializing in gastroenterology and endoscopy, Dr. Shields is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He currently is a faculty member of Boston-based Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Shield’s clinical interests include Barrett’s Esophagus, GERA, colonoscopies and colon cancer, among others.

After earning his medical degree from Boston-based Tufts University School of Medicine, he completed his internship and residency at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston. He completed his fellowship at the same institution.
