GI physician leader to know: Dr. Ilan Aharoni of Florida Hospital Orlando

Ilan Aharoni, MD, is a practicing gastroenterologist at Florida Hospital Orlando. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterology Association and American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

Dr. Aharoni has a special interest in the treatment of chronic liver disease, advanced colorectal neoplasm using the EMR technique and radiofrequency ablation of Barrett’s esophagus. He also focuses on colon cancer prevention and screening, constipation, hemorrhoid prevention, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome and obesity. He is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology.

Dr. Aharoni earned his medical degree at Sackler School of Medicine, New York State American Program in Tel Aviv, Israel. He completed his residency at Maimonides Medical Center in New York, where he also completed his GI fellowship.
