GI physician leader to know: Dr. Adnan Said of UW Health

Adnan Said, MD, is a practicing gastroenterologist at University of Wisconsin Health in Madison. He is also a director of the Transplant Hepatology Fellowship Program and an associate professor at University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, also in Madison.

Dr. Said is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. His clinical interests include hepatitis C, alcoholic liver disease, Barrett’s esophagus, irritable bowel syndrome and chronic renal disease. He also has a professional interest in population health. His work has been published in a number of prestigious journals, such as Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Transplantation Reviews and World Journal of Gastroenterology.

Dr. Said earned his medical degree at Aga Khan University Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan and completed his residency at University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he also completed his gastroenterology fellowship.
