“We used pre-cut suction tubing [connected to our suction containers], and one tech said, ‘Why do we have pre-cut tubing when we could just buy a roll and cut down to our size?’,” she says. “I thought that was a very good idea.” Ms. Nikolovski says she saved 50 percent on tubing by implementing this change, and the center didn’t have as much waste because the GI tubes were always cut to the needed size.
