He founded Estrella Gastroenterology in 1999.
Dr. Aftahi specializes in endoscopic procedures and inflammatory bowel disease.
He began his career after receiving his medical degree from Woodbridge, N.J.-based Ross University. He completed his residency at Paramus, N.J.-based Bergen County Hospital before his fellowship at Albany (N.Y.) Medical College.
After completing his fellowship, Dr. Aftahi joined the Albany Medical College faculty for several years.
Dr. Aftahi is a member of the Phoenix Society of Gastroenterology and the Maricopa County Medical Society.
