Ritu Verma, MD, is the pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition section chief at UChicago Medicine.

She is also the medical director of the University of Chicago Celiac Disease Center and serves as a professor of pediatrics.

Dr. Verma’s areas of expertise include treating pediatric inflammatory bowel disease and celiac disease. She has published articles in the American Journal of Gastroenterology, Journal of Pediatrics and Nature Genetics, among others.
