GI leader to know: Dr. Kent Cunningham of Sumter Gastroenterology

Kent Cunningham, MD, is a gastroenterologist at Sumter (S.C.) Gastroenterology.

He earned his medical degree from University of Illinois at Chicago. He completed an internship and residency at Charleston-based Medical University of South Carolina and his fellowship at Augusta-based Medical College of Georgia.

Dr. Cunningham joined Sumter Gastroenterology in 1993.

He is a past president of the South Carolina Gastroenterology Association.
