GI leader to know: Dr. Eamonn Quigley of Houston Methodist Hospital

Eamonn Quigley, MD, past president of the Amercian College of Gastroenterology, is head of the gastroenterology and hepatology division at Houston Methodist Hospital.

Dr. Quigley is the David M. Underwood chair of medicine in digestive disorders and a professor of medicine at the Weill Cornell Medical College’s Institute for Academic Medicine.

He has published over 800 peer-reviewed articles, case reports and book chapters covering functional gastrointestinal disorders and gut motility. Dr. Quigley also served as the American Journal of Gastroenterology’s editor-in-chief from 1997 to 2003.

Dr. Quigley is director of the Lynda K. and David M. Underwood Center for Digestive Disorders at Houston Methodist.
