GI leader to know: Dr. Charlene LePane of Central Florida Gastroenterology & Hepatology

Charlene LePane, DO, is a gastroenterologist at Celebration-based Central Florida Gastroenterology & Hepatology.

Dr. LePane sits on the board of trustees for the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association, and previously served as president.

During her internal medicine residency, she served as the chief resident at Miami-based Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Dr. LePane completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at Madison Heights, Mich.-based St. John Oakland Hospital, where she also served as chief fellow.

She earned her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Kansas City (Mo.) University of Medicine and Biosciences.
