GI leader to know: Dr. Asyia Ahmad of Drexel Medicine

Asyia Ahmad, MD, is a fellowship program director and medical professor in Philadelphia-based Drexel Medicine’s gastroenterology and hepatology division.

Dr. Ahmad is also involved in implementing and investigating new tools for endoscopic training. Her other interests include treating esophageal and anorectal disorders.

She focuses on digestive diseases affecting women. Dr. Ahmad serves as the Women’s Issues in Gastroenterology and Hepatology course director.
