GI leader to know: Dr. Anil Rustgi of Penn Medicine

Anil K. Rustgi, MD, is the chief of the division of gastroenterology at Philadelphia-based Penn Medicine.

In addition to his role as chief of the division of gastroenterology, Dr. Rustgi is the director of Penn Medicine’s clinical digestive and liver center.

He is also the T. Grier Miller Professor of Medicine in Gastroenterology and a professor of genetics at the Philadelphia-based University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.

Dr. Rustgi is the co-director of the tumor biology program at Penn Medicine’s Abramson Cancer Center.

He is a past president of the American Gastroenterological Association.
