Gastroenterologist productivity dropped 16.2 percent from March 2020 to March 2022, according to Kaufman Hall’s “Physician Flash Report” published May 2.

The report analyzed 100,000 physicians and advanced practitioners in 100 specialties. 

Here is median annual productivity, measured by work relative value units per gastroenterologist:

March 1, 2020:  $67.15 

March 1, 2021:   $62.32

March 1, 2022:  $56.25
