1. Dr. Plevy will lead Synlogic’s research organization. He’ll report to Synlogic’s president and CEO.
2. A gastroenterologist, Dr. Plevy entered the commerce sector after an academic career.
3. Throughout his career, he served as lead investigator on several clinical trials and has published more than 100 referenced papers and articles.
4. Dr. Plevy succeeds Paul Miller, PhD, who joined Synlogic’s scientific advisory board.
5. On the position, Dr. Plevy said, “I am excited to join the company’s talented team to enable development of this novel class of living medicines with potential to provide new treatment options in a broad range of metabolic diseases, immune-mediated diseases and cancer.”
