Gastro Health names new COO

Miami-based Gastro Health has appointed Philip Meador as chief operating officer, according to an Aug. 4 news release from the medical group. 

Mr. Meador most recently served as senior vice president of operations at Brentwood, Tenn.-based Surgery Partners and has held leadership roles at Charlotte, N.C.-based Premier, Mobile-based University of South Alabama Health System and Atlanta-based Emory Healthcare. He earned a master’s in health administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

As COO, Mr. Meador will oversee operational teams and programs aimed at improving clinical outcomes, efficiency and patient experience across the organization.
