1. Dr. Kaplan earned his medical degree from New York City-based Weill Cornell University Medical College. He stayed at the institution for his residency and internship before completing a fellowship at Philadelphia-based University of Pennsylvania Health System.

2. He specializes in therapeutic endoscopy for biliary tract disease and nonsurgical therapy for hemorrhoidal disease.

3. Dr. Kaplan has 30-plus years of experience.
